1. Jacob

So, the more i’m in this bible class of mine, the more interesting it gets. I just read a chapter about Jacob’s life, and it amazes me. First, he deceived his father and got his blessing instead of his brother Esau. He then runs away from Esau so he will not kill him. Not following God’s plan in either of these decisions. After all of this, he takes his relationships into his own hands. He meets a girl named Rebekka, works for her father for 7 years, and then HE was deceived into marrying Rebekka’s sister, Leah. (Who ends up being the girl Jesus comes from)And the story goes on..

I’ve known this story since i was a kid, but i guess it really struck as interesting lately now that i’m a little older and hear it in a different light. Jacob, even when he knew God, still disobeyed and went against God. It reminds me that life isn’t over if i screw up and disobey God. He forgives me every time, just like he forgave Jacob. God still kept all of his promises, because they are unconditional. God is perfect, i have never been able to wrap my head around it, and i don’t think i ever will, but it’s encouraging to be reminded that He’s always there for me.
